NY Gift Show report

by on Aug.19, 2015, under News, Products

Hello my wickedly decadent ghoul-friends.

The staff of Macabre Mercantile traveled to New York City this past week to the New York Now gift show. This is an ENORMOUS show with thousands of vendors from all over the country and the world. We walked MILES through the aisles of vendors in search of the perfect items to enhance our product lines.

Our buyers were very picky. We didn’t just want to show you the same old things you see elsewhere. After all, you are discerning vamps and ghouls and deserve to have something that not everyone else owns.

We found a lot of amazing steampunk and macabre statuary to decorate your crypt. We located amazing jewelers who make unique pieces that will bring the feel of the most macabre parts of nature or intricate machinery to your wardrobe.

And ladies…. PURSES. OMG Mercy Macabre was drooling from her skull over some of the unique designs from all over the world.  We’ve also found unique art design purses that are hand crafted by an amazing artist named Kent Stetson. You will never believe how amazing these are. With these purses you’ll be the envy of every other lady out for a night on the town.

Here’s a tease from that new collection:

Gentlemen – we didn’t forget you. Our media minion demanded equal time for the guys and we have some great jewelry that lets you look stylish yet manly and of course some of the best barware and other ‘guy goods’ you have ever seen.

For those of you who loved our Day of the Dead statues – we have an entire line of really fun characters direct from Mexico. Everything from luchadors to punks to wacky devils.

So many more items – I could go on for hours but I’ll let you just dwell on this bit of tease. Look for us at our next event -Scarefest 8 in Kentucky in September to get the first chance to see and buy our new items. They’ll be showing up on the website after that.
