Let’s belly up to the bar for a libation to quench your thirst.

If you’re like me, you like your alcohol and you like your tentacles.
What? You’re not like me? Come on, admit it, you’re intrigued.

Take a look at this awesome bottle and shot glass set which will make a stunning addition to your bar or sideboard.

A glass decanter is wrapped by a cold cast bronze octopus.

The octopus holds two stemmed shot glasses each with an octopus design. The decanter’s stopper is heavy glass topped by writhing tentacles.

Cold Cast Bronze is a heavy resin impregnated with bronze powders to give it the look and feel of bronze.

You’ll never go back to drinking out of store bought bottles at your fancy parties after serving your guest from this beauty.

Don’t forget, we are working on opening our first brick and mortar retail location in fabulous Las Vegas, NV.

Look for our grand opening on June 1, 2019, in the Sahara Towne Square shopping center just 1 mile (a very short cab/uber/lyft ride) from the Las Vegas Strip.

It’s worth the trip.

Macabre Mercantile vs Roadside Desert Attractions

by on May.02, 2019, under News

To celebrate our impending signing of a brick and mortar lease the Macabre Staff went out in search of desert sights.

We found the – to us – strangest roadside art installation we’ve ever seen.  The Seven Magic Mountains.

These colorful boulders are stacked along the side of the road and stand as high as 40 feet tall.  They’re day glow and just a short hike from the extreme southern end of Las Vegas Boulevard.

Of course, it was fun to note the signs along the trail stating: “Remain on the marked path, venomous snakes inhabit surrounding area’.  Joy!

Click on the images for a larger view – the panorama is quite a nice view of the beauty of the area. The smaller stacked stones are the visitor’s attempt to add to the ambiance.

There’s also a shot through our car window as we drove down a gravel and dirt road to the Jean/Roach Lakes in an attempt to get a look at what lay beyond the railroad tracks…. the answer was more rutted road leading to a  dry lakebed which we didn’t try for since our little car doesn’t have great clearance.

Macabre Monday – Metal Winged Skull sculpture

by on Apr.29, 2019, under Macabre Monday, Products

Happy Macabre Monday ghasts and ghouls.
Today we delve into the crypt to bring you a unique sculpture

#macabremondayWinged Metal Skull sculpture

This is an all metal skull with a black patina. The skull was sculpted to look anatomically accurate and then wings were added to let it take flight.

This work of art is entirely hand made from reclaimed metal by an artist in Utah.  Since it is a handmade item there may be a slight variation from the picture in each version he makes but every sculpture is beautiful. The detail on the skull is amazing

The wings are able to be repositioned slightly to give the appearance you wish.
A sturdy metal loop at the back of skull allows you to hang it from the ceiling or any other location and let it fly.

The skull itself measures approximately 5″ wide x 5″ high x 8″ long.
The wings are approximately 11″ long.
